Finding Max is available on pre-order from Amazon.com and Amazon.ca starting yesterday. Some readers have put a rush on their books and have already received them this morning! Wow! I guess they wanted that book badly!
Reader reviews have already begun to pop up on Amazon sites and Goodreads, that site that Amazon built for authors and readers to comingle. I have so far received one 4* rating and one 5* rating on those sites. Both of these reviews are up on our review page, here. I am so damned excited! Like a kid in a candy store I want more, more, more.
I am hoping that readers will understand the depth of my project, the magnitude of the issues I am approaching in Finding Max. One of the reviewers, Marie (her review is on the review page on this site), really seemed to get what I a trying to do. She clearly understood my project.
I am considering doing book reviews, myself. I certainly read enough. Why not put some words to my thoughts about all those books I read, eh? Why not, indeed.
So Finding Max comes out on 22 May 2018. That is in less than two weeks! But it is already available on pre-sale! What will I do once I get a break from looking for reviewers, bloggers and such? What will I do once the marketing for Finding Max has been completed and hung up to dry? Well, I will go back to writing then.
What am I writing?
I am working on the first draft of the second installment in the Finding Max Trilogy, of course. I am about halfway through the first draft. It will be a literary thriller, too, just like Finding Max. But a bit different from Finding Max. I think it will be a longer novel because there is so much more to deal with. Some of the issues that are introduced in the first book, Finding Max, will be expanded upon and looked at more deeply. For example, whatever is wrong with Jean will come more to the fore as she becomes more and more ill as the novels progress. Or the “thing” that happens to Gary (sorry, no spoilers here!) at the end of Finding Max must be dealt with on a number of levels, not the least of which is the psychological level at which Gary is affected by the circumstances. Both of these issues and more will need to be addresses in further detail in the second book in the trilogy, Loving Max.
I can’t wait to get writing again.
Until then, I bid you adieu. I hope you follow those links and order your copy of Finding Max today. You won’t be sorry!
